EMPLOYMENT TO DATE

KEY COUNTRY FOODS

27 JUNE  200731 AUGUST 2007

TEMPORARY FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR

I learnt the ways of money and organizing, I learnt to listen to what I had to do thoroughly, but also developed my own ways on how to do tasks.

STEPHENSMITHSGARDEN CENTRE

31 MAY 2008 – 13 SEP 2009

ASSSITANT IN ARTS & CRAFT SECTION

(WEEKEND WORK)

I learnt display aesthetics, new skills in crafts and different techniques in

drawing and painting from having to make samples up. I was left on my own some weekends to look after the whole of the department, seeing to phone calls, enquiries, and to organize the different classes going on. I learnt how to deal with different age groups, different cultures and different disabilities because of the range in customers that came into the garden centre. I liked to keep busy so often helped the other department if I had nothing to do.

CEDAR MEDICAL PRACTICE

17 AUG 200917 SEP 2009

TEMP CLERICAL ASSISTANT

I helped with any odd jobs, able to take the instructions on board and carry them out, finding ways to do them better and quicker with the same quality. I got more responsibilities because of how I managed to work, involving looking at patients records, therefore they trusted me.

SHEFFIELD HALLAM UNION

1STMAY 2010 – PRESENT

ADVERTISING AND FLYERING

I have improved people skills, with talking to all different kinds of people along with this job, as well as improving my confidence from needing to confront people. I wanted to be earning money as well as university work to show independence and my ability to balance my work loads.

AMBASSADOR for SHEFFIELDHALLAMUNIVERSITY

SEPTEMBER 2010 – PRESENT

This helped my people skills yet again and also improved them even more because I was talking to parents as well as students who had harder questions and wanted more from me, at first I found it challenging but I have got use to it and love getting involved in showing the loyalty I have to my university/ course

NEXTSALE, SCUNTHORPE

JULY 11TH – JULY 16TH, DECEMBER 23RD – 28TH

I needed to be fast, energetic and ready for confrontational customers at 5am in the morning. I was prepared to get up very early to do my job. I like keeping busy so this job was great, keeping everything tidy and in place. I talked to customers friendly when I was on the tills and made them feel good and calm in such a strange and stressful circumstance so early
